Description

Like all Nicarao cigars, these cigars are the result of the collaboration between Didier Hovenaghel and Abdel Fernandez. They are produced at the Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Originally, this was a separate line under the brand "Pitbull," primarily intended for European dealers. Legend has it that it was dedicated to the dog of one of the creators, who saved his life. The name "Pitbull" (not a toy breed or dachshund) itself suggested a very powerful character for these cigars. The "new" cigars, equally coolly named "Furias," are essentially identical to the former "Pitbulls," and are also presented in three formats - "Alecto," "Megaera," and "Trisiphone," whose bands have been replaced with pieces of wool thread of different colors. Alecto is adorned with a dark blue thread, Megaera with a red thread, and Trisiphone with an orange-saffron wool thread. The base of the blend consists of the finest Nicaraguan tobacco varieties selected by Hovenaghel from the regions of Estelí, Condega, and Omotepe. An additional "secret" tobacco component (Viso) from a specially unspecified country adds some mysterious notes to the flavor and aroma. The cigar is wrapped in a particularly dark Oscuro wrapper from the Jalapa region. All tobacco components are aged from 3 to 6 years. Like in the La Ley series, Didier and Abdel have managed to create masterfully harmonious cigars. Very tasty, with a rich, very intense aroma, magnificent balance, and a sufficiently smooth, even character. These are certainly not cigars to smoke "on the go"; they require the connoisseur's close attention, as they possess a strong, independent "personality"! Didier Hovenaghel is undoubtedly one of the great connoisseurs and masters of cigar creation. All his cigars are works of high art, filled with feeling, intellect, and talent for flawlessly selecting the perfect blends.
